A modern smoky Manhattan riff. Rye and mezcal stirred with sweet vermouth and Cynar.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Rye Whiskey
  • ½ oz Cynar
  • ½ oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 2 dash Orange Bitters
  • Mezcal, rinse glass and discard

Garnish: Orange peel

How to make it

  1. Rinse a chilled coupe with mezcal and discard the excess.
  2. Stir the remaining ingredients with ice until well chilled and strain into the prepared coupe.
  3. Garnish with an orange peel.
