A rich pre-Prohibition dessert cocktail. Rye shaken with a whole egg and demerara syrup until creamy.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Rye Whiskey
  • ½ oz Demerara Syrup
  • 1 whole Whole Egg

Garnish: Grated nutmeg

How to make it

  1. Dry shake all ingredients without ice to emulsify.
  2. Add ice, shake hard, and strain into a chilled coupe.
  3. Garnish with grated nutmeg.
