A 19th century Jamaican punch with its own recipe rhyme. Funky Jamaican rum, lime, and demerara syrup over ice.

Ingredients

  • 1½ oz Jamaican RumMore Jamaican Rum cocktails
  • ½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • ½ oz Demerara Syrup, stands in for IBA's 1 oz fresh sugar cane juice
  • 2 dash Angostura Bitters, traditional addition, not in IBA spec (optional)

Garnish: Orange peel

How to make it

  1. Add the rum, lime juice, demerara syrup, and bitters (if using) to a rocks glass.
  2. Fill with ice and stir until chilled and diluted to taste.
  3. Garnish with an orange peel.
