A 1980s UK pub classic. Lager and medium-dry cider in equal parts, with an optional dash of cassis for a Snakebite and Black.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Lager, pilsner
  • 8 oz Hard Cider, medium-dry
  • 1 dash Crème de Cassis, makes a Snakebite & Black (traditionally blackcurrant cordial) (optional)

Garnish: None

How to make it

  1. Add the crème de cassis to a chilled glass, if using.
  2. Pour in the lager to fill the glass halfway.
  3. Top with the cider and serve without garnish.
