Delete your account

From inside the app

Open Profile → Settings → Delete Account and confirm. Your account and the data listed below are removed straight away, and you are signed out.

If you no longer have the app

Email support@ourbar.app from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my OurBar account. We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days — usually within a couple of business days.

We may ask you to confirm from the account’s email address before deleting, so that nobody else can close your account.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in credentials
• Your profile, display name and avatar
• Your bar inventory and any shelves you shared
• Your saved and favourited cocktails, ratings and notes
• Your tasting notes, including ones shared with you
• Flights you created, and your scores and participation in others
• Events you organised, and your RSVPs and contributions to others
• Your membership of every group
• Your notifications and activity history

What is kept

Two things outlive the account, because deleting them would remove other people’s content as well:

• Custom recipes you published stay in the shared catalog, with the author removed. They are no longer linked to you or to your name.
• Groups you created continue to exist for their remaining members. Your membership and your contributions to the group’s pooled bar are removed.

Backups are retained for a short period as part of normal database operation and then expire. Nothing from a deleted account is used after deletion.
